Grayson turns ONE!!!

 My little guy just had his first birthday on the 18th of this month. I can't believe it has already been a year! I wanted to have fun with his first birthday so I decided to do a puppy party. Grayson LOVES dogs! It doesn't matter the size, shape or color, if it is a dog he will start laughing and smiling like crazy. It is the cutest thing ever! I searched everywhere for decorations and it seemed the only place to get stuff was online. I didn't really want to do that so I put on my thinking cap and got creative.

Invitations:

I made these invitations with scrapbook paper and some puppy stickers. The invitation reads:

Join us for some tail waggin fun

It's Grayson's 1st birthday

It'll be a dog-gone good time!

Decorations:

I should have gotten a closer picture but I got a bunch of white balloons, made doggy faces out of them and taped them up all over the party area. Grayson thought these were pretty cool!

Cake and Cupcakes:

 I wanted to make a 3D puppy cake really bad and I found a really good tutorial online on how to make one. I had a lot of fun making this and everyone loved it! It was a chocolate cake with homemade chocolate buttercream frosting. YUM!!!

These cupcakes are a traditional yellow cupcake with the chocolate buttercream frosting, and sprinkles. It was so not my intention to make these look like dog doodoo, but my sister in law thought that's what they looked like and she thought it was cute how it tied into the theme. I made the cupcake toppers by using small squares of scrapbook paper and placing a dog related sticker on them.

Here's my cute little guy with all of his fun presents! It was a long day, but we had a wonderful day and I think he had a lot of fun:)



Grayson's first ouchy!

So the beginning of this month Grayson's got this beautiful ouchy on his face :( I was at my parents house getting some acrylic toes and  I had the kids with me. Cambree was playing outside, left the deck door open, and I didn't know, and Grayson went out onto the deck. Next thing I know I hear a big clunk clunk clunk, go out and see him and Cambree at the bottom of the deck stairs crying. I don't know exactly they both fell down the stairs-if Grayson fell down, ran into Cambree and made her fall, or him Cambree tried to carry him down the stairs and lost her balance and fell. Cambree got away with minor scratches, but Grayson had this nice cut on his face. It wasn't deep but scratch the surface pretty good! Poor little guy! About 2 weeks later, the scabbing and redness disappeared, just in time to look normal for his birthday and pictures.

Easter 2012

Easter weekend was quite eventful for us. Friday Tony was off so we did lots of work around the house and an egg hunt, Saturday was my brother's birthday, and Sunday we went to church, then headed off to spend time with the Stephens fam. I think the kids had lots of fun and enjoyed all the candy and gifts they got!

Friday evening we did our own little easter egg hunt. We were hoping to do it outside, but it was wet and a little on the cold side so we did it in the house. It was still lots of fun. Cambree was going crazy. Grayson grabbed one egg and just decided to play with that one the whole time.

Easter Sunday the kids woke up and saw that the Easter bunny came and left lots of cool stuff. Cambree was really excited to see she got a ladybug dreamlight. She wanted one so bad!

Later that afternoon we went out to Tony's brother Troy's house out in Plain City for dinner and a easter egg hunt with the Stephens side

Crafting Frenzy

This week I've been crafting like crazy with my sisters and it has been loads of fun! I'm so excited for my new creations and I thought they were so cute that I had to share them.

This chickie and the hop craft I got at Wood Creations in West Haven. If you haven't been to that store you need to go! It is a way fun and they have lots of cute stuff!

Valentines Day

This year for Valentines day I got surprised with this bouquet when I woke up. Tony later took the kids and I out to Rumbi for lunch since he had to go into work that day. He got home from work around 11:45pm and planned another little surprise for me which I forgot to take a picture of. I was asleep but he woke me up and invited me into the kitchen where the table was decorated nice and there was some sparkling cider and ice cream sundaes for both of us. It was very delicious and nice to have a moment to ourselves!

Usually I'm up for the day before Tony is and so I heart attacked the shower and put little love messages on the hearts. He enjoyed them:) I also gave him a box of chocolates.

Cambree got a little box of chocolates from Mommy and Daddy. Tony also gave her the Valentine bear. My parents gave her a heart necklace with matching earring and a box of chocolates. Tony's parents gave her a Valentines day card and some candy.
